This is done through equipping believers through seminars and Bible-school training programs, evangelistic and healing ministry, and on-going support and partnership with church-planters. Emphasis is also given to the fight against poverty, trafficking and social injustice.\u00a0This is the heart of Touching Asia &#8211; to reach out and change lives.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\t\t<\/div> \n\t<\/div> \n\t\t<\/div> \n\t<\/div> \n<\/div><\/div>\r\n\t<div id=\"fws_6a832b4cb3232\" data-bg-mobile-hidden=\"\" class=\"wpb_row vc_row-fluid vc_row standard_section   \"  style=\"padding-top: 0px; padding-bottom: 0px; \"><div class=\"row-bg-wrap\"> <div class=\"row-bg   \" style=\"\"><\/div> <\/div><div class=\"col span_12 dark \">\n\t<div  class=\"vc_col-sm-3 wpb_column column_container col no-extra-padding\"  data-padding-pos=\"all\" data-hover-bg=\"\" data-animation=\"\" data-delay=\"0\">\n\t\t<div class=\"wpb_wrapper\">\n\t\t\t<a href=\"http:\/\/www.touchingasia.org\/main\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/10\/h\u00e5kanepal.png\" class=\"pp left\"><img class=\"img-with-animation \" data-delay=\"0\" height=\"100%\" width=\"100%\" data-animation=\"fade-in\" src=\"http:\/\/www.touchingasia.org\/main\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/10\/h\u00e5kanepal.png\" alt=\"\" \/><\/a>\n\t\t<\/div> \n\t<\/div> \n\n\t<div  class=\"vc_col-sm-9 wpb_column column_container col no-extra-padding\"  data-padding-pos=\"all\" data-hover-bg=\"\" data-animation=\"\" data-delay=\"0\">\n\t\t<div class=\"wpb_wrapper\">\n\t\t\t\n\t<div class=\"wpb_text_column wpb_content_element \">\n\t\t<div class=\"wpb_wrapper\">\n\t\t\t<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>The ministry was born<\/strong>\u00a0and sprung out of the calling the founder H\u00e5kan Gabrielsson had for Asia for many\u00a0years.\u00a0He first traveled\u00a0through Asia at the age of twenty-two, when he in 1978 for the first time arrived at the Indian Sub-continent.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Today he has worked as a missionary and pastor for more than thirty-seven years in Asia, Eastern Europe and Scandinavia, traveling extensively and speaking and teaching in seminars, conferences, Bible schools and church meetings.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">For a period, H\u00e5kan and his family resided in Sweden while he traveled as an itinerant minister into the former Soviet Union after the fall of the Iron Curtain.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">In\u00a0<strong>1995,\u00a0<\/strong>he and his wife Erika felt the Lord leading them to resettle in Singapore, in Asia, with their children to pioneer a new ministry.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\t\t<\/div> \n\t<\/div> \n\t\t<\/div> \n\t<\/div> \n<\/div><\/div>\r\n\t<div id=\"fws_6a832b4cb3dd5\" data-bg-mobile-hidden=\"\" class=\"wpb_row vc_row-fluid vc_row standard_section   \"  style=\"padding-top: 0px; padding-bottom: 0px; \"><div class=\"row-bg-wrap\"> <div class=\"row-bg   \" style=\"\"><\/div> <\/div><div class=\"col span_12 dark \">\n\t<div  class=\"vc_col-sm-12 wpb_column column_container col no-extra-padding\"  data-padding-pos=\"all\" data-hover-bg=\"\" data-animation=\"\" data-delay=\"0\">\n\t\t<div class=\"wpb_wrapper\">\n\t\t\t\n\t<div class=\"wpb_text_column wpb_content_element \">\n\t\t<div class=\"wpb_wrapper\">\n\t\t\t<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Touching Asia&#8217;s emphasis was initially on conducting evangelistic healing campaigns and leadership training programs, but has expanded to include justice and mercy ministry, income-generating projects and relief work.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Through revival and healing campaigns, conventions and conferences for pastors and leaders, &#8216;Ministry Centers&#8217; with Bible schools mercy and justice ministry projects run by our ministry partners in different countries thousands have met the amazing grace of Jesus.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Primarily we have worked in the nations of <a style=\"color: #000000;\" title=\"India\" href=\"http:\/\/www.touchingasia.org\/main\/focus-india\/\">India<\/a> and <a style=\"color: #000000;\" title=\"Myanmar\" href=\"http:\/\/www.touchingasia.org\/main\/focus-myanmar\/\">Burma<\/a>, but also Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Thailand, Japan, Iran, Korea, and Indonesia have for a long time been on the itinerary.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Recently, <a style=\"color: #000000;\" title=\"Nepal\" href=\"http:\/\/www.touchingasia.org\/main\/focus-nepal\/\">Nepal<\/a> has come into focus and God is, by his grace, opening unprecedented doors in this country previously closed to the Gospel. A revival has been sweeping over the nation, and we have felt led to be a part of what God is doing.
