FRIENDS OF TOUCHING ASIA/OUT OF ASHES More women and girls are being rescued through the ministry of Lighthouse Foundation Nepal. Below is a photo of a mother and her daughter. This mother and her daughter was rescued a couple of weeks ago from Mumbai. She has been in the brothel for twenty-two years. Her name is Soni. Both she and her daughter are two of the thousands that endure the same torment and abuse year after year. What a fantastic time we had in Myanmar! Thank you for your prayers for this year’s group of students (the 20th batch) as well as for the entire 20th Anniversary Celebration, and for the Missions Conference. It was a full week of celebration and reunion as a number of our coworkers and Bible school teachers also came together for this event. The big Ball Room in Strand Hotel was full with rejoicing, dancing and excited people. It is difficult to explain the atmosphere for someone who was not there. The Pastoral Leadership Program is a new pastors-training program led by Rev. Hans Sundberg where pastors and leaders in Nepal and India during a three-year period will go through an extended bible-training program for deepened theological studies and reflection. The training program comes at a very crucial time – a kairos time, a truly God-appointed time. There is an incredible need for teaching and training leaders in this great move of God and we must fuel the fire so the work can continue to grow. We need to raise up workers for the Kingdom so that the harvest will not be lost….
The 17th batch of students were overjoyed to graduate on 24 February. We are living in an amazing time when so many doors are opening up for the ministry of the Good News and these wonderful people from Myanmar are part of the harvest force the Lord is raising up. “The Gospel of the Kingdom shall be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come” – Jesus says in Matthew 24: 14
